Love/Hate of Cats
To know kitties is to love kitties..... and hate em at times. comes with the territory.
I'm absolutely convinced they feel the same way about us.
I mean, how else do u explain that, every time they knead the human torso, they always manage to hook a claw in a nipple and pull?
And if they're so dang agile and graceful, why is it only our most precious nick nacks they knock down and break?
If they're helping with the gardening, why do they always plant a big, smelly doody bomb right in the freshly-sewn seeds?
Why hack up hair balls on only those garments which require dry cleaning?
Ever have one jump on your face while u were sleeping?
How 'bout when they decide to go into heat at the exact moment you're answering a phone call from a prospective employer about a job interview, and that person thinks u r torturing a child?
Ever take a cat to the vet in a car and have it wrap all four paws around your face, all 20 claws stuck in you, while u r driving?
What's with sitting on the webtv box and dangling the tail juuuuust right so the remote keyboard doesn't work?
What about sticking the entire head inside a tall glass with a half inch of milk on the bottom, panicking, backing up, spilling the milk and slinging the glass, now in shards, all over the room?
Do you understand climbing: jeans/evening gown/stockings/plaster cast/grandma's walker -- only while they're in use?
Are they helping with homework writing email reading, etc. by presenting dirty bung hole below human nose for inspection and cleaning (as in: "kiss my butt, Mommy")?
Ever have one stare ominously in the vicinity right behind your head for minutes at absolutely nothing, until you are completely paranoid?
Try to take a nap and have them play, "let's use Mommy for a launching pad!"?
Yes, cramming a sock in the mouth of a cat
who cries all night in a building full of tired old people and threatens one with eviction is a real temptation for those of us who love cats.
We cat lovers are very sick people.
